Upon arrival in Milano, I was greeted by the sometimes impatient & aggressive Italian drivers. When I first arrived in the city, I realized I had taken the wrong exit & in the wrong location. Eventually, I found the hotel. Before that I was baptized in the tradition of Italian driving. Some favorite tactics: the squeeze play( trying to get 2 or more vehicles to occupy the same space at the same time, t occupying tw lanes at once, tail gating & of course all this is done with plenty of horn honking. I was in a long line of cars confined to a single lane street, bounded on the left by trolley tracks. Finally I had my turn at the front of the line, signaling to turn left. As I stopped waiting for the trolley to get out of my way, I heard a chorus of non stop honking from behind.

Adventures in Driving: ITALY
