Football championships

When I visited Bern, Switzerland, I noticed people driving around with various national flags attached to their cars. I also saw flags hanging from the windows of buildings. As I continued my travels in Europe, I again saw these flags displayed in similar fashion in other parts of Europe. Eventually I realized that there was some sort of football championships (we call it soccer) going on.

3 June 2008: MAP

Colmar, France to Bern, Switzerland.

Into Switzerland & the Alps.

This afternoon I left France & entered Switzerland. The Swiss drive faster on their highways. On the way to Bern, I encountered several highway tunnels which makes my GPS navigation useless. Again, I managed to stay in a hotel within walking distance of an interesting city center. This time, it was Bern, the Swiss capitol.
